Oooh You've Got Some Pie.......

I love pie. Cherry pie. Apple pie. Rhubarb pie. Pretty much any pie (except peach-yuck) you put in front of me will be consumed. I have never actually made a pie. Until now. Triple Layer Pumpkin Spice Pie. It was super easy. Granted, that was because it was a cheater's pie. It included ingredients such as "Honey Maid Graham Pie crust" and "pumpkin spice pudding mix". Although I did caramelize pecans for the first time. I am quite proud of myself. Not only was it easy, it tastes like fluffy slices of heaven. I'm like Betty fricking Crocker.

In Knitting news, I've finished a few Christmas knitty items. I better hurry the hell up or I'm never going to finish everything on time. To top off my knitty anxiety, my neck went out yesterday morning and the pain is going all the way down my right arm. As you well know, that is not good news for a knitter. Not to worry, I will persevere if it kills me. I went to the Doc and the nurse proceeded to give me a shot in the bum!! It didn't help the pain but it did give me a good laugh when the nurse told me, "It'll burn but don't worry...I'll blow on it". And she wasn't joking. What a sight it must've been. Me with my dress hiked up and my pantyhose pulled halfway down. Nurse Joanna with a needle in one hand, blowing on my butt cheek.

Hee hee - that is one dedicated nurse! You always make me laugh Betty fricking Crocker, you do ;)

The projects look fab! If I don't talk to you before Christmas, have a wonderful holiday! And just so you know, I am, myself, a pie connoiseur. I agree that peach stinks and I'm not too fond of pecan or blueberry either. But all the rest? I'll take 'em! And yours looks super yummy :)

BTW: I'm pretty sure I spelled connoisseur wrong the first time around.... No spelling bee awards for me :(

I'm so sorry to hear about your neck! What a pain (no pun intended). That nurse gave you the shot in the wrong locale, didn't she? But hey, if you got a good blow out of it then it was probably worth it! The pie looks absolutely delish...I am going to have to try it! I'm on my 2nd Chevron Scarf and having so much fun with the yarns. You are such a wonder with all you do! Happy, happy holidays my dear Claire...to you and yours!
